Thumbs up Bit Defender Total Security 2009 or Norton Internet Security 2009

I have Norton Internet Security 2009 and hes OK but I want to install Bit Defender Total Security 2009 . Is that good idea ? here on this site Bit Defender Internet Security is on First place , Norton Internet Security on 9... http://internet-security-suite-revie...enreviews.com/
so Bit Defender Total Security is as I think better than Bit Defender Internet Security. Delete Norton and install Bit ??? yes or no ??

Well they are kind of similar so if you purchased a Norton license I would recommend against buying a BitDefender license

    I personally prefer NIS 2009

i thoght about nis because i tried bit defender a few days ago and man was that thing stupid. its got a good database signature of 2M+ but it keeps disabling it self.(that red colour ball becames gray) and norton is light fast and updates like hourly man. i wonder why that top ten review people chose this bit shit as the winner.

I've heard that the topten reviews site is not very good.... It is sort of damned in most user forums...

As for the comparison, Bitdefender is a little too heavy on the system resources.... and NIS i've not used it but it's got a very favourble response from most of the users in this forum (I think so) esp. the 2009 series. I have tried NAV 2009. It's light but it deletes stuff automatically. So got rid of it.

It would be interesting if Raymond could print the statistics of which antivirus was most requested for his christmas giveaway

Bojan, Please don't believe on that survey. What they (toptenreviews.com) do is the just compare the features of products without actually testing them. They even take money for displaying a suite above it's deserved rank.

Coming back to the topic, My personal preference would be Norton Internet Security 2009. Stick to it!

Hold on to Norton. Ive used all of them at one point or another, and Bit Defender is an absolute waste. You would be better off with free setup like Avast, threatfire, spyware terminator and comodo components for a firewall and such.
If you do not like the Norton, which I personally do not because when I used it in the past, removing it is like trying to peel Venom off Spiderman and it was heavy on the system, go with Kaspersky. Ive heard that the last few Nortons have been lighter, and the Norton removal tool may be one of the best pieces of software ever written, so those problems have been pretty much evened out.
If you are going to come off even one more cent, use it wisely and get KIS 2009, not Bit Defender. Thats what I pass off to my friends that I dont really like. Youd be better off to pull down the free activation for pc tools mentioned on one of the other threads.
There really is no substitute for Kaspersky. On my home system I wont use anything else. Speaking of which.............. Ray, help me out here man. Ive left that damn spam filter off for about 10 days and am getting at least 20 BS emails a day. I never received the email with my KIS 2009 key from the Christmas giveaway. I check my e mail so often Ive started reading some of the junk so I dont feel like a teenager sitting around hoping the chick I left 400 mesages for will call back. It really made my day to win in the giveaway, so if you could resend it or hit me up here, Id appreciate it.
I also got this alert when downloading the 64 bit version of Bit Defender 2009
