Hi y'all. I can't seem to get Kon-Boot to work. My nephew and I are both techs and work on several different computers everyday, so Kon-Boot would be a great help to us. Many times we find ourselves in the position of the operator being nowhere around, leaving no information, and are just asked to "fix it". I run ESET NOD 32 on my home PC and noticed it removed something it recognized as a TSR Boot virus. On my four subsequent attempts at downloading from different links I made sure NOD 32 was off but it still wouldn't boot after burning. I then tried the floppy twice from two different sites and still no luck. I then gave my nephew the links and had him try because he uses NO AV or firewall on his PC. He couldn't get it to work either. We both tried it on our laptops. Nope, that didn't work either. Finally, we both tried downloading them to one of our Macs and transferring them to the PC for burning. Still didn't work. All in all, I would say between myself and my nephew we burned ten different disks, all but my first two on different machines and never got a workable disk. We were both using Nero, and at one point I downloaded ImgBurn and tried it. Like I said, we are both techs and know how to download and burn an ISO file, but this one has us both scratching our heads. Any tips or advice, that works, will be greatly appreciated.
