These few days you might have noticed that there is a big download and upload speed drop when downloading a torrent or from P2P source. For example, when downloading something such as mp3 from bittorrent, you see a lot of seeders, not many leechers, but weirdly you are only connected to 3 seeders.
This will happen if you’ve recently updated your Windows with some security patches that Microsoft released on June 14.
One of the Windows security patches updated TCPIP.SYS with build 5.1.2600.2892. Therefore, if you’ve used LvlLord.de’s EvID4226Patch last time to change the 10 half-open connections to 50, it will be reverted back to 10. This will prevent a lot of peers connecting to you whether in upload or download and making your speed dropping drastically.
To easily fix this…
Download the Event ID 4226 Patcher (4226 fix) from LvlLord.de, and run the intelligent patcher. The current Patcher 2.23d is still capable of changing the half-open tcp limit.

Note: If you’ve never used LvlLord.de’s Event ID 4226 Patcher before, you can use it as well to get a much better download speed in bittorrent or P2P.
